Elba is a journey far beyond the familiar itineraries.
Deep in the southern Red Sea lies Elba Reef: remote, rarely dived and full of surprises.
Expect spectacular drop-offs, vibrant soft corals, untouched reefs and crystal-clear visibility. With a little luck, larger marine life may also make an appearance – moments that reveal just how wild and pristine this region still is.
A true adventure for experienced divers who are looking for something beyond the ordinary.
Elba Reef Tour
The highlight of this journey is undoubtedly Elba Reef, a remote system consisting of three main reef formations. These reefs offer everything a diver could wish for: dramatic drop-offs, enormous gorgonian fans, colourful gardens of hard and soft corals and fascinating cave systems waiting to be explored.
Sharks are regularly encountered in this remote region, alongside large schools of barracuda, mackerel and other pelagic fish.
Another fascinating highlight is the wreck of the SS Isola di Levanzo, which sank at the eastern reef in 1923 while on her way to Durban.
Depending on wind, weather, sea conditions and the wishes of our guests, the journey may also include dives at Rocky Island and Zabargad Island.
On our way north, we explore selected dive sites around St. Johns and the Fury Shoals.
St. Johns is a vast collection of small reefs, each beautifully covered in coral and each with its own character. This region offers the chance to encounter almost every inhabitant of the Red Sea – from sharks, manta rays, dolphins and turtles to the impressive and increasingly rare bumphead parrotfish.
